This photo depicts everyday life in Kittery.  It was taken in the heart of Wallingford Square in downtown Kittery. The photo was probably taken at the end of the workday with shipyard workers heading home,  c. 1920.  In the background you can see the Traip House to the right. It was turned and moved one block in 1912.
